Miia Chambers is a practitioner at City, Hackney and Waltham Forest Mind where she has been leading the development of mindfulness and compassion based approaches for the past five years. Also as Director of Rainbow Mind she has led a Government Equalities Office funded Randomised Control Trial for Radical Self-Care, a new mindfulness and compassion based modality. The trial is focused on LGBTQ+ populations in London and Manchester. The approach is also being piloted with frontline health care workers. In her work as a mindfulness trainer and supervisor she has developed the programmes and teams of practitioners reflecting the diverse backgrounds of the populations that they work with, emphasising inclusive and intersectional ways of working.
Miia is a Mindful Self-Compassion, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness Based Addition Recovery, Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy trained and experienced practitioner.
