I come from many places. Italian genes, born in Argentina, Canadian by choice and now living in Bavaria, Germany. No matter where I have been in the world, nature has always been a pivotal part of my life. Growing up in a vineyard and agricultural family business in Argentina, I always spent most of my days outdoors among, and often, on trees.
Woodlands have always been my passion and fortunately I’ve had the chance to enjoy the company of a diverse range of trees, like ancient eucalyptus specimens in my childhood in Argentina; maple, birch, oak and an extensive selection of conifers during my life in Canada and now, beech, chestnut, linden together with spruce and fir in my new life in Bavaria. My intuitive attraction to trees was then reinforced by learning about the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku.
I studied Shinrin-Yoku guiding techniques in England, Germany and Japan. I developed a Forest Therapy program influenced by my mentor Dr. Yoshifumi Miyazaki and his 30 plus years of research showing overwhelming evidence on the health benefits of forest bathing.
I co-founded Universe Mindfulness with my wife, and we offer restorative escapes throughout Europe and Japan with the main theme of Mindfulness in Nature, guiding our participants to become reacquainted with nature and to reconnect with it in a deeper and more healing manner than ever before.
