Suzanne is the Mindfulness & Training Coordinator at Mind in Salford; she delivers 8 week mindfulness courses to the local community and also assists in delivering the Mindfulness in Mind PTP – Practitioner Training Programme. Having undertaken teacher training with Bangor University Centre for Mindfulness Research & Practice, Suzanne is a listed Mindfulness Teacher with the UK Network for Mindfulness-based Teachers and with the Mindfulness in Schools Project.
She previously worked in the NHS in Greater Manchester as a Counsellor (registered with the BACP – British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and Mindfulness Teacher and continues to work for the NHS one day a week.
Suzanne is also a trained Yoga Teacher registered with Yoga Alliance UK and mindful movement is her passion. Suzanne’s journey to mindfulness began with the development of her own ‘non-striving’ yoga practice in 2003 which she has found to be enormously beneficial and supportive to her wellbeing. She has attended yoga and meditation retreats in various parts of the world, including some study of Vedic and Buddhist philosophies. Suzanne has an established daily mindfulness practice which involves mindful movement/gentle yoga and silent sitting/breath meditation; for her mindfulness practice is an opportunity to “press the reset button and come back home to your self”.

Sometimes we can be judgemental or critical of our bodies if they don’t look or function the way we think they ‘should’. This workshop explores befriending your body through mindful movement.
