MindfulnessUK and City, University of London are working in partnership to raise awareness in Parliament and to deliver and research the benefits of Integrating Mindfulness and Compassion in the workplace of Front-line Services, Armed Forces and Blue Light Services. Our recognition of the growing need for tailored programmes and good quality research within these highly specialised and pressurised settings aligns with the All Party Parliamentary Group recommendations at the recent Parliamentary meeting.
MindfulnessUK are one of the UK's leading teacher training organisations and offer training in MBSR and their unique Integrating Mindfulness and Compassion in Professional Practice qualification. Co-founded over 9 years ago by Karen Atkinson, they are thrilled to be working with City University to demonstrate the benefits of mindfulness practices.
Dr Trudi Edginton is a Clinical Psychologist, CBT therapist and Mindfulness practitioner with research interests in Neuropsychology, Psychopharmacology, Cognitive Neuroscience and Cognitive Rehabilitation. Trudi completed her degree, PhD and post-doctoral research at the University of Sussex working with individuals with long term health conditions. Trudi works clinically with individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury, Hydrocephalus and Spina bifida, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Anxiety Disorders and Dementia.
