Nick learnt to meditate in 1990 and taught mindfulness as an undergraduate before moving to live in an urban Buddhist community for three years. He then ordained as a Buddhist monk for six years. On leaving the Monastery in 2004 Nick moved to London and in 2009 set up the gay/bi men’s mindfulness group and a one hour mindfulness class open to anyone to attend. In 2012 Nick trained in providing the 8 week Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Programme and now facilitates workplace mindfulness courses and private courses following this format.

At work we cannot always chose who we have to collaborate with. Our personal relationships have a big effect on our experience of work and the productivity of the company. Often this is all played out on a back drop of complex or stressful situations. This session explores how mindfulness can create better collaboration and relationships.
