My practice is drawing based, I am interested in the psychological space we occupy when we draw. Drawing is where I think, question, take breathing space, and feel. I enjoy the immediacy of drawing and what it reveals, it’s instinctiveness. I want to explore and articulate through drawing the things that are familiar to us all, the sensations, emotions and patterns of thought that make us who we are, but that may lack a recognisable form, a name even. Through cracked graphite lines, crumpled paper surfaces and the softness of pastel I have attempted to give shape to the constantly shifting internal landscape that motherhood, grief and a sometimes fractured mind has created for me.

"Mindful Marks"

A drop-in drawing activity where you make marks to music and sound. Notice when your attention has drifted away to something else other then your mark-making and gently return it back to listening and to act of drawing. Join Naomi as she guides you in drawing to sound in a mindful way. Everyone welcome, especially those who think they can't draw!
