Miriam has been practising Heartfulness Meditation for 11 years and is a certified trainer of Heartfulness. She is also known for her distinctive, award-winning sculptural silver, inspired by water, movement and the natural world. Her passion is deepening her creativity and connection to the world through this heart-based meditation and living that reflects in in her many creative projects.
Using her signature techniques of chasing and engraving she creates deceptively simple organic and tactile shapes together with more complex and detailed vessels, centrepieces and tableware. She creates bespoke silverware for individuals and collectors worldwide and for organisations including the Victoria & Albert Museum, Eton College, the Goldsmiths Company and the National Museum of Wales. A career high point was a commission for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, 60 years after her great grandfather’s two commissions for Her Majesty in 1952.
Miriam imbues all her work with an integrity, attention to detail and craftsmanship which has elevated her silver into the sphere of fine art. Her skills and creative abilities have been recognised with many awards over the last ten years, including a total of 10 prizes from the Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council the last 2 years.
