"How Mindfulness and CBT can work together"
Vicky and Josie will be exploring in their talk the benefits of Mindfulness within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy setting and how it can encourage wellbeing and recovery. Self Help Services currently work with common mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression, and have found Mindfulness an incredible therapeutic tool in this area. They have found that Mindfulness can lengthen recovery and inspire a self-compassionate attitude, both of which help with low mood and anxiety. Vicky and Josie will be exploring whether there is room for Mindfulness within an NHS therapeutic model and how to integrate with CBT skills and techniques within a IAPT service.
