Mind is an independent, user focused charity providing quality services to make a positive difference to the wellbeing and mental health of the people of the UK. The core services we provide are:
Advocacy - Helping you express your views and concerns, access information and services, explore choices and options, and defending and promoting your rights.
Mindfulness Practitioner Training (PTP) for mental health/social care professionals.
Training - We run rights and wellbeing courses for organisations and service users.
We are very pleased to be able to offer the Mindfulness in Mind Practitioner Training Programme, a 12-month supervised pathway aimed at readiness to deliver evidence-based mindfulness interventions. We are now recruiting for our Spring 2019 cohort.
This is a national initiative led by Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest and Mind in Salford, who together have delivered mindfulness interventions for more than a decade.
The programme trains practitioners in their understanding and ability to deliver evidence-based mindfulness interventions and is primarily experiential including group and individual training elements. The trainers are supervised by Bangor and Oxford University mindfulness trainers.
The Practitioner Training Programme provides the foundations for seeking registration with the UK Network for Mindfulness Teachers. During the programme, participants will be given guidance on submitting their application for registration with the UK Network and supported to attain the levels of competency outlined in the best practice guidelines.
