Coronavirus Statement

We want to ensure that that all our exhibitors, speakers and visitors are safe at the Mindful Living and Sleep Shows, so wanted to share this guidance, which is based on the latest information from the Government, Department of Health and Social Care, and Public Health England.

Please be aware that this is a complex, dynamic and evolving situation and, at present, the government have advised the UK has a ‘moderate classification’. However, we will continue to share any new advice at the earliest opportunity.

We are confident that this year’s show will be the best yet and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the event.

We have prepared some Q&A’s that may be useful:

What precautions are you putting in place to tackle the current coronavirus outbreak?

The venue remains open and events are taking place as planned. We continue to liaise closely with and follow advice from the Business Design Centre, which is based on the latest information from the Government, Department of Health and Social Care, and Public Health England.

Every theatre will have stocks of hand sanitisers and these will also be available around the event. We are asking anyone who is attending the show to make sure they follow good personal hygiene practices, including hand washing, and there will be additional advice available around the venue.

The cleaning teams at the BDC are also focusing on any areas where the virus could be more likely to spread including:

• Hard surfaces: reception areas, kitchen areas, breakout areas and toilets
• Control pads: vending machines and lifts
• Door handles: main entrances, hall floor entrances, meeting rooms, stairways and toilet entrances, as well as exit push buttons
• Handrails and bannisters

For our speakers, our AV company have advised that they will be rolling out the following measures, whilst the risk retains its “moderate” classification in the UK:

1. Awareness briefing across our on-site teams
2. Hand sanitiser provided and required by speakers before and after microphone use
3. Cleaning of microphones with disinfectant wipes between speakers
4. Cleaning of any other hand held AV equipment with disinfectant wipes before and after each use

What should I do if I’ve travelled from one of the affected areas and are planning to come to the show?

We would request you not to travel to the event and to follow the appropriate guidelines as dictated by the Department of Health and Social Care, and Public Health England:

Will the event be going ahead as planned?

Yes, it will. There will be no change to the date for Mindful Living Show and Sleep Show, whilst the venue remains open.

Who should I contact if I have concerns during the event?

If you start to feel unwell while visiting, please contact one of our team members. The onsite team is fully briefed and has plans in place to deal with anyone experiencing symptoms of coronavirus. This includes separate areas to isolate people until they can be taken to hospital.
